Vancouver Tattoo Studio - In the heart of Gastown

On April 15th, 2011, Gastown Tattoo Parlour will open its doors. In the historic Abbot House Building at 105 West Cordova, across from the Woodwards development, this Vancouver tattoo and body piercing shop is situated in the heart of Gastown's artistic hub -- a couple of doors down from the W2 Storyeum and only a stone's throw away from the S.F.U. Fine Arts campus.
Gastown Tattoo Parlour houses some of Vancouver's finest up-and-coming tattoo artists as well as two of Vancouver's most reputable body piercers. The website, http://www.gastowntattoo.com/ will be showcasing each artist and some of their pieces.
This Tattoo and Body Piercing Studio has a focus on local community involvement. Regular art shows will give local artists a chance to display and sell their work.  The goal of Gastown Tattoo Parlour is to extend the boundaries and break through the stereotypes of traditional tattoo parlours by having a focus on a broader range of art forms while at the same time having the highest standards for cleanliness and safety for getting tattoo work/body piercing done.  The Shop's sterile room is second to none and contains one of the best autoclaves in the market, the Ritter M9.
Locally made jewelery will be available in the shop's merchandise display cabinet.  Custom-made shirts will also be offered in which 10% of each sale goes back into the community to support programs such as RainCity Housing.
Whether you are a first-timer or someone looking to add another tattoo or piercing to your collection, Gastown Tattoo Parlour is a non-intimidating, first-class studio where our artists will help create a custom piece for you that you will be proud of.
Check out the facebook group http://www.facebook.com/gastowntattoo?sk=wall to learn more or drop by the shop and say hi.
Here are a few pics of some pieces by a couple of our artists, Craig Moston (the Joker portrait) and Mitch Kirilo.
